I hope you are all having a great Easter holiday.
During the second term we worked very hard on our third Unit of Inquiry:
How we Organize Ourselves, learning and discovering things about our school and different professions.
We interviewed Mr Kenny, the P.E. teacher and we visited the sports hall where he works. He showed us where they play basketball, which was right at the top of our school.
Our next stop was the laboratory where we interviewed Mr Canning, the Science teacher.
He gave us special glasses to wear and we watched him doing an experiment.
In class we drew pictures of our visit to the laboratory.
We visited many other places around the school and learnt about the many different jobs people do.
In our Splash book this term, Frankie, Tex, Spot and Dizzy have been dressing up in different costumes. You can listen to your child tell the story - 'What do you want to be?'
and sing the ' Are you a....?' song, which is on the Splash CD that you have at home.
We had great fun dressing up in our favourite costumes.
The market visit was a great success. We bought lots of fruit and tasted them all when we got back to class.
Some of us need to eat more fruit!!
We hope you liked our fruit shop and the shop assistant. Let's try eating lots of fruit over Easter. Remember to tell Miss Helen if you try a new fruit.
